It was a big night for Sunbury Lions when it inducted two new members to the club.
The two (pictured left) are Dr Noela Prasad (left), sponsored by Helena Thompson, and Christine Davies sponsored by Jan Harvey.
They were inducted by PDG Jill Qualtrough at the club's March dinner meeting.
Noela, an ophthalmologist, public health professional and health researcher, is well acquainted with Lions, having worked closely with Lions global eye-care programs.
Christine is a leading teacher at Taylors Lakes Primary School.
Also joining the club at the same time is June West who has transferred from the Lions Club of Deer Park.
We welcome our three new members.

Lions Clubs & Blaze Aid Camp Lexton Jan – April 2020
The Lexton-Ben Major Fire of December 2019 burned approximately 3,000 hectares of farm and bushland. Initial estimates suggest that more than 1000 sheep were lost and more than 150kms of fencing has been damaged or destroyed.
The Lions Clubs of Alfredton Lucas, Ballarat, Brown Hill, Buninyong Mt Helen, Creswick, Haddon, Mount Bolton, Miners Rest, Sebastopol, Wendouree, Maryborough, Carisbrook, Maldon, Castlemaine and Harcourt (Zones 5 & 6) have banded together to support the Blaze Aid recovery plan.
Blaze Aid developed and implemented a recovery plan that aimed to assist the community to replace or restore damage fencing. They established a Camp at the Lexton Recreational Reserve and coordinated a group of between 20 - 50 volunteers that worked 7 days a week. The Camp operated from Feb 2020 until the end of March 2020. Over the 10 weeks that the Camp operated, BlazeAid removed more than 150kms of damaged fencing and restored more than 90kms of new fencing. During the same period of time the Lions Clubs of Zone 5 & 6 assisted with the preparation and delivery over more than 2,400 meals for the staff and volunteers.

LCIF Fundraiser - Australia's Campaign 100 Chairperson for LCIF, PCC Lou Onley, invites you to Follow Your Rainbow...
While practicing safe social distancing over the past few months, Lou let his usual neat number two hair style grow wild. In true Lions fashion, there's a greater good at play.
Before Lou cuts his hair, he wants you or your club to do two things:
1. Donate to LCIF by 26 July 2020. How to donate - follow the link below to find out how to donate.
2. Once you have donated, follow the second link to register your donation and vote for the colour you'd like to see on Lou's hair. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LCIFLou
The colour that receives the most votes will win and Lou has agreed to wear it for the month of August! Join the challenge and support Lions Clubs International Foundation.
